Together: The Power of Praise

Worship was never intended to be an individual experience—it is a powerful expression of God’s people coming together as one. In 2 Samuel 6:12–23, David leads the nation in joyful, uninhibited worship as the Ark of the Covenant is brought to Jerusalem, demonstrating that worship unites God’s people around His presence. Just as God’s kingdom is made up of people from different backgrounds, generations, cultures, and preferences, corporate worship invites us to celebrate our diversity while pursuing a deeper oneness in Christ. In a culture that often approaches worship through the lens of personal preference and consumerism, we are challenged to move beyond “what I like” and embrace worship as a collective act of surrender. When we worship together with one heart and one spirit, we become a visible reflection of the beauty, unity, and diversity of God’s kingdom.
