Life change happens best in Small Groups

At Grace Fellowship Church, we deeply value the spiritual formation that can only take place as we live life together, in a Small Group, around a circle, with Jesus at the center. God’s design for us is that we live, grow, and develop in Christian community where we might experience the fullness of who He is with and through others. When we live life as God intended, in authentic and caring community, we can experience healing and transformation that can only come from Him. Welcome to Grow Groups!

What are Grow Groups?

Grow Groups are an extension of your Rooted Experience, where people commit to join in community with one another. Your group will study God’s Word, practice the 7 rhythms of Rooted, and experience deep and meaningful life change together. Groups consist of 10-12 members and a GFC-trained and coached leader who meet together regularly. Grow Groups are the place to connect with others as you live out a Life Worth Pursing and impact the world around you with the love of Jesus.

“Let us consider one another in order to provoke love and good works, not neglecting to gather together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging each other, and all the more as you see the day approaching.”
Hebrews 10:24, 25

Questions About Grow Groups

What do Grow Groups do?

Grow Groups meet regularly to study God’s word, practice the spiritual rhythms from Rooted, and see transformation in our lives and in our communities.

Do I need to complete Rooted before joining a Grow Group?

Yes. When we create groups for Rooted, we always intend for that group to become a Grow Group and to continue to practice the spiritual rhythms learned in the Rooted experience. Many Grow Groups are a continuation of the same people from a Rooted Group.

How often do Grow Groups meet?

Groups will meet weekly on different days and times. Most groups meet for 10 weeks at a time with breaks built in throughout the year.

Where do Grow Groups meet?

Groups meet in the location of their choice, which typically is a group member’s home. Space is available at the GFC facility if necessary.

What if I have been through Rooted and need help joining a Grow Group?

There are several groups with openings and we would love to help you find one. Please Email Kelley Hoffman at khoffman@gfc.org and we will help find the right group for you.

I’m interested in leadership. What is required to lead a Grow Group?

We ask that Grow Group leaders first complete Rooted and then our 7-week Disciple-Making Leadership training course. To ensure this role would be a good fit, for new leaders there is an application process including an interview with GFC Staff.

What resources will you offer for Grow Group Leaders?

We will give you everything you need to thrive in your role! This includes weekly leader emails, group content, training videos, as well as coaching and quarterly Leader Gatherings. If you have facilitated a GFC Rooted group, you know how committed our team is to equipping leaders to shepherd well.
